Broken Hill Forum: The Australia Institute's Murray Darling Research

Join The Australia Institute to discuss their latest research and report, Trickle Out Effect, which shows the $13 billion dollar Murray Darling Basin Plan is facilitating the flow of money to powerful agribusiness at the expense of local communities, native title holders, floodplain graziers, downstream communities and small irrigators.

SPEAKERS:
+ Maryanne Slattery - Senior Water Researcher at The Australia Institute.
+ Rod Campbell - Research Director at The Australia Institute.

Trickle Out Effect shows the Menindee Water Savings Project will fundamentally change the lives and livelihoods of all of the people in the Lower Darling Valley. The Government paid one large agribusiness $40 million dollars in compensation. No other stakeholder has received any compensation.

FREE, but bookings essential.
